Synchronicity is said to be a wink from God. You think of someone and soon after that person contacts you, or you have a seemingly random conversation with someone that appears to address your own inner questions; an idea for a new project is echoed in an article or by someone else. These kind of events that catch your eye are arranged by your spiritual team, by manipulating physical reality around you. It’s a validation that they are with you, making these things happen.
Carl Jung, who first gave a name to the phenomenon said “Synchronicity is no more baffling or mysterious than the discontinuities of physics. It is only the ingrained belief in the sovereign power of causality that creates intellectual difficulties and makes it appear unthinkable that causeless events exist or could ever exist. But if they do, then we must regard them as creative acts, as the continuous creation of a pattern that exists from all eternity, repeats itself sporadically, and is not derivable from any known antecedents.”
In order to experience and appreciate the beautiful choreography of synchronicity, you need to be open to it. If you don’t believe it, you won’t see it. And, since your energy manifests your reality, external synchronistic events have to go through your energy. They work a little as if you’re channelling or using your high, creative mind. What does this mean?
If you see 11:11 on the clock, if your guides nudge your eyes to see that feather on the ground – this happened through your own energy. And it’s is further reinforced by your conscious intention for it to happen. Your intention dictates what happens in your reality. Synchronicity consists only on messages from the ‘light – from your spiritual team, which serves only for your highest soul good. These are the messages you can, and should, trust. How can you be sure if it’s synchronistic? It’s like this by definition – only your spirit guides can affect your reality like this.
We have 7 guides in our Afterlife Explorers spirit team. Before we draw a winner for a prize we ask them to choose the winner for the highest good of all concerned. And, as you will read in our newsletters, the heart-warming messages from the grateful recipients never cease to reinforce the power of trusting in such guidance. This is the great advantage of using synchronicity as a tool: it doesn’t require any special conscious state on your part – you just have to be open to it, paying attention and then trust.
Every occurrence exists on a patterned grid of potentials which means it’s not possible for any event to exist outside of that grid, or in other words, to be completely random and devoid of significance. This is not to say that absolutely everything is extremely important – there are varying degrees of importance at times in your life. Finding your soulmate is more important than, say, finding a feather on the ground. The ability to trust and let go is as important as the habit of being attentive.
A classic story of synchronicity reported by Carl Jung involved one of his patients, a woman with a highly developed rational mind that made her treatment difficult. One day she was telling Jung about a dream she had had in which she received a golden scarab. At that moment Jung heard a gentle tapping on his window. When he opened the window, a scarab-like beetle flew in. Jung caught the beetle and presented it to his patient saying, “Here’s your scarab.” The stunning impact of this synchronicity overwhelmed the defences of her rational mind and led to a breakthrough in her treatment.
To the emerging spiritual seeker, synchronicity provides an unmistakable encounter with the mysteries of the spiritual realm. Because the experience has particular meaning to the individual involved, it has the power to open a portal to a world of meaning – the world of the soul – just as it did for Jung’s patient. Everything that we experience on the material plane is representative of something hidden deeper within our consciousness.
As your soul awakens, you start to discover the meaning of life experiences, attempting to distinguish what each circumstance is trying to teach you. By observing synchronicities and trying to understand their meaning, we are drawn into the world of the soul and in turn accelerating our spiritual progress on a path of transformation to living a more authentic and soul-centred life.
